SAFE-10-T at ITS Europe (recap)
On Wednesday 05 June, the SAFE-10-T project was presented twice at the ITS Europe congress in Eindhoven (NL).
A morning session on Route Optimisation and Prediction introduced several solutions to ports, city logistics, eco-routing and the TEN-T network. Marieke van der Tuin presented the SAFE-10-T transport model, which is used to model transport delays associated with network asset performance failures. A general discussion was held following her presentation on the generalisation of pilot studies toward one system to be used by the whole country - which is still assumed to be quite difficult due to different data sources of detailed network models. |

During the afternoon, the SAFE-10-T project was presented as part of a cluster project session with the SAFERLC and SAFE-STRIP projects (financed under the same call), during which the Decision Support Tools were demonstrated. The audience would preferably like to see the DST being applied to multiple assets at once - which is still a future wish.
